BROPHY, Frances Emily (KOFFLER) (1921-1999)

BUFFALO – Frances Emily Brophy, 78, of Buffalo died Tuesday, Aug. 31, 1999, at the Amie Holt Care Center.

Services will be 10 a.m. Friday, Sept. 3, at the Adams Funeral Home Chapel in Buffalo with Pastor Barry Moen and Pastor Jerry Hacket officiating. Visitation will be 1 p.m. until 10 p.m. today, Sept. 2, and from 8:30 a.m. until 9:30 a.m. Friday at Adams Funeral Home Chapel.

Funeral services will be 10a.m. Monday, Sept. 6, in Silvernale-Silha Funeral Home in Wilbax, Mont. Graveside services will follow at the Brophy family cemetery on the family ranch six miles south of Wibaux.

Mrs. Brophy was born Jan. 28, 1921, in Amidon, N.D. to Joseph and Anna Koffler. She married John J. Brophy in June 1943, and they made their home on the family ranch. Mr. Brophy died in January 1993. Mrs. Brophy moved to Buffalo in April 1993 to live near her daughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, two sisters and an infant son, Frankie Thomas Brophy.

Survivors include four sons…; two daughters…; a brother, George Koffler of Glendive; 16 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Memorials may be made in her name to the Johnson County Senior Center or the American Cancer Society in care of Adams Funeral Home, 351 N. Adams, Buffalo, WY 82834.
